Fumajet is committed to excellence in its processes and project execution. Its R&D&I methodology is recognized by innovation foundations and institutes. Throughout its journey, the company has participated in major events, received national and international awards, and has been selected and funded by technological development grants.

During a dengue epidemic, Cícero and Marcius attempt to import equipment from the U.S. to Brazil. The project's unfeasibility sparks the idea of creating an accessible national solution tailored to Brazilian realities.

2007

Marcius invites Marcelo Machado to co-found FUMAJET. The company is born with a focus on innovation and the development of technologies for vector control. That same year, the first formal patent application for Motofog is filed.

2010

With capital investment and institutional recognition, the Motofog patent is filed through the PCT system, initiating international protection of the technology.

2014

The Motofog patent is granted in the United States, strengthening FUMAJET’s position in the international market. In the same year, the company receives investment from the CRIATEC II fund, managed by BNDES, marking the start of a new phase of expansion and professionalization.

2017

FUMAJET wins 2nd place in the global UN/UNIDO Chemical Leasing Award, with a case study developed alongside SENAI Green Chemistry.

2024

The company reaches over 21 patent filings and consolidates its presence in more than 10 countries, delivering technologies in health, agriculture, and the environment.

1999

Marcius begins early tests of what would later become Motofog in a borrowed garage, using an old motorcycle and scrap parts. The concept of a mobile, lightweight, and low-cost fogger is born.

2009

The Motofog prototype is launched. FUMAJET wins the Intel/FGV Challenge and is recognized among the top 15 startups in the world at the Intel + UC Berkeley event.

2013

First international export of Motofog, to Angola. Global recognition begins to take shape. In the same year, FUMAJET receives the FINEP Innovation Award, solidifying its national recognition as a technology-based company.

2016

Motofog’s national patent is officially granted in Brazil, consolidating intellectual property rights in the country.

2021

New recognition from UN/UNIDO, with a case study in partnership with Syngenta. FUMAJET is globally recognized for innovation and sustainability.

2025
